Subsequent editions may include revisions, updates, or additional content, but the first edition is the original version that sets the foundation for the book. However, it is important to note that in some cases, there may be earlier versions or drafts of a book that are not considered the first edition, so it is always best to verify the specific details of a book's publication history. **
